The West Midlands Perinatal Institute (WMPI) closed on 31 March 2013, as a consequence of the major NHS
reorganisation and abolition of all PCTs, which have been providing regional NHS funding.

Key projects are being continued by members of WMPI as the PERINATAL INSTITUTE, a new national not-
for-profit organistion which aims to further enhancements in quality and safety of maternity care.
