Gordon Rogers
Programmer / Systems Analyst
Gordon started working at the Perinatal Institute in 2003, joining the MANNERS software development
team as a programmer. Over time, his job has evolved into Systems Architect, with responsibility for
the design of new .NET based versions of the MANNERS software, together with monitoring the impact the
NHS's National Programme for Information Technology (NPfIT) is having on previous design decisions.
He joined the team after spending over ten years involved in the programming industry either as a
professional software programmer or in various technical roles at Wrox Press, a computer book
publisher. This means he brings an in-depth understanding of how computers operate, how challenging it
can be to produce software that works for the end-users and how important it is to capture exactly what
the project sponsors want the software to do.
