Bereavement support programme: Call for abstracts

Deadline: 15 June 2007

Submissions are welcomed from parent groups, health professionals, organisations and individuals who can report on relevant projects and practice as outlined within the Bereavement Programme.

A short outline of the presentation should be submitted electronically in a form compatible with Microsoft Word, in Arial size 10 font with a word count of 300 max. It should include:

1. Title of presentation (in capital letters)
2. Authors, with presenting author in bold
3. Institution, City & Country
4. Text ending with Conclusions

Please indicate the topic category.

Presentations can be made:

• In oral form – speaking at the confernce
• In a written, poster form to the conference
• Within an interactive/workshop session

Please state which mode of presentation you would prefer.

• The impact of death for families and professionals
• Good communication and informed choice
• Parent led care and professional guidelines
• Who needs care
• Cultural issues in bereavement
• Diversity of needs in different pregnancy losses
• Overcoming blocks and barriers to grieving

• The first year and beyond – care needs and ways of remembering
