BIRMINGHAM, 9 & 10 July 2001

For over a decade, the ISIS meetings have tracked the latest developments and the state of knowledge in intrapartum surveillance. The new millennium again sees prolific research activity, and the programme of this meeting was once designed to allow an evaluation of current techniques and new developments, with the main emphasis on open debate and constructive critical appraisal.
