A regional audit of pregnancy dating measurements and charts was carried out in October 2004, at that time there were no national or regional guidelines.
The use of charts for CRL and BPD was mostly consistent across the region. All units who previously included a femur length when dating have stopped this practice.
The RUG agreed that the regional recommendation for charts would be Robinson and Fleming for CRL and Chitty 1994 for BPD. A document containing a CRL chart, table, and equation for Robinson and Fleming was produced.
